Vinnie is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina and a 2015 graduate of North Carolina Central University. He earned his degree in Business Administration w/ a concentration in Marketing.

Vinnie says he started rapping when he was 7 years old but started taking it seriously at the age of 12. He said that his parents were two of his biggest influences. With a poet for a mother and father who was also a rapper, he seems to have been destined for greatness. He was also heavily influenced by artists such as Outkast, Tupac and Kanye West.

Vinnie is a 2 time Carolina Music Award Nominee (Best New Artist for 2014 and Best Hip-Hop Male in 2015). He also opened up for Cyhi The Prynce in 2013.

When asked why he does music, Vinnie said, "I love the freedom of creating and saying whatever I want. I feel like I have a voice & a message that needs to be heard.." Well, sir, your voice has been heard.
